GreatetrGood South Africa Trust receipts and disburses donations to NPOs monthly three month in arrears and receives feedback reports from NPOs within four weeks of such payment. These reports are posted online and forwarded by email to you, the donor, when contact details have been provided.
From February 2006, if you have elected for the beneficiary cause to be notified of your contact details, your details will be shared with the beneficiary at the time your donation is made, enabling your beneficiary to thank you directly. We will also provide you with a link to your relevant feedback report when this is received This ensures that GreaterGood is able to provide you with the information you need to have in order to experience the gift youhave made and know how your donation made a positive difference!
If you have not authorised for your gift beneficiary to have your contact details, these will not be provided but a thank you note and report back will still be obtained and posted online for your information.
GreaterGood SA is currently working to upgrade and automate it web platform to enable causes to actively view and manage their donation accounts and enable you to receive immediate confirmation and receipts for your gifts.
GreaterGood South Africa does not charge you, the donor, or your beneficiary cause any administration fee for the work we do. However, MWeb as our Secure SafeShop Payment Service Provider and First National Bank as our credit card merchant provider both currently deduct a fee per donation transaction made online. This amounts to R5 plus VAT by MWeb and 3.5% plus VAT by FNB. We are currently negotiating to have these costs reduced or waived to ensure that 100% of your donation is received by your beneficiary organisation.
