Health skills-boosting project lists on SASIX

Wednesday, March 30th 2011

You can become your own social investor with a portfolio of high impact projects.

Khethi'lmpilo has just listed a skills-boosting project on SASIX.

The National Department of Health lacks the capacity to meet its targets of ARV rollouts. This is largely due to a shortage of qualified pharmacists. In 2008, about 61% of public sector pharmacist posts were vacant; a shortage of about 3 000 pharmacists.

Kheth'Impilo plans a one-year programme that will train 15 learners to become pharmacist assistants, opening new job opportunities and increasing the skills available at primary health care centres in the Western Cape and Mpumalanga.

Kheth'Impilo needs to raise R 677 900 to bring this project to life.
