GreaterGood SA provides a secure and trusted platform for givers and social investors to donate to registered Causes online.

We use a number of security measures to ensure the safety of your information:

• Thawte SSL Certificates – these are used globally to secure servers, provide data encryption, authenticate users, protect privacy and assure online identities through stringent authentication and verification processes.
• Our websites require givers or investors and causes to register first, creating a password-protected online identity for every user. Our systems do not store user passwords or card details.
• We use a recognized payment gateway – Virtual Card Services – to process and track transactions safely.
• Our own sophisticated software helps us to track every transaction and ensure that donations go exactly where the giver intended them to.

However, no system is impenetrable and it is your responsibility to keep your passwords and pin codes safe and to notify your credit card provider of any unauthorized use in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. If any unauthorised charge appears on your credit card as a result of a secure credit card transaction through any GreaterGood group website you must report this directly to your Card Provider. 

Safety tips

• Never share your password or write it down where someone else could find and use it.
• Never provide your credit card details on a website that does not have https:// before the website address.
• If you think your online identity has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us so we can take the necessary steps.
• Choose a secure password – at least 6 characters long and a combination of letters, numbers and symbols.
• Once you have registered on any of our websites, your personal details can only be amended by using your chosen password. You can change your password at any time by logging in. For your security, the GreaterGood group does not have access to your password and cannot retrieve it if you forget it. If you forget your password, we will reset it for you.
