Currently we are busy with Social Science (History). These Learning Outcomes are specifically dealing with Democracy in South Africa. As history educators I wish to take my Grade 6 learners for an educational excursion to the Parliament of RSA in Cape Town.
 
The aim of this is to enhance the values of these learning outcomes i.e. change and continuity and compares the past with present. Also to give our learners a learning experience of being in our National Parliament because most of our learners are coming form rural areas and are not exposed to the historical buildings and monuments. In Parliament they will be able to see how the people who make decisions for our country sit and who they rank. People like Madam Speaker and others.
