The Endangered Wildlife Trust runs a small headoffice from the grounds of the Johannesburg Zoo but we have fieldworkers throughout South Africa. The Field Workers usually work from home, but spend most of their time working in rural communities with farmers and farm workers assisting them to protect the biodiversity on their land. The items requested above help us to run more efficient offices without having to spend precious resources on these items.
Being able to travel from one village to the next on an operational bicycle (our Rural Eco Warriors) or to be able to download your email and submit field reports wherever you (Our Poison Working Group which deals with wildlife poisonings on farms) enables the EWT staff to work more effectively and to address areas of critical environmental importance more quickly.
