As you are aware the political situation in Zimbabwe has forced many people to come to South Africa to seek asylum and that includes blind people who have now bombarded the streets of Johannesburg begging for money to survive. We have of now registered about 200 men and women and almost the same number of children. We will be gratefull if we can find some blankents this winter for these people as the situation is now becoming so desperate for us as an organisation.

It will at least show our members that we are trying to do something for them although under difficult conditions and it will give them them a sense of being loved and recognised to be in South Africa, not by choice, but circumstances forced us to here.
