Optimus’s runs five skills centres and the training consists of Sewing, Quilting, Cooking, Fabric Painting, Gardening, Woodwork, Learner Driver, and Computers. Our vision for skills training is to furnish adults with life and career skills to enhance their employment opportunities, and to develop their income generating (self- employment) abilities and potential.

Without skills individuals in South Africa cannot gain employment or start up their own business. Without employment individuals in South Africa cannot get money to feed themselves or their families. Like the age old story we need to teach people to fish, grow their own food, and produce goods they can sell, or make food people will buy.
