Mission Statement
Badisa Eureka Community Services delivers sustainable services on a democratic non-racial and Christian foundation to individuals and families through counseling, material support, community development and education. This is done by excellent staff, volunteers and networking.
 
Due to the main social problems experience in our communities, Badisa mainly focus on family maintenance through the establishment of support networks via the Neighbour Watch Programme and Interventions Strategies. To ensure empowerment Badisa use Life skills trainings for child protection, parenthood skills, youth development, rights and role of women and children and also their responsibilities, victim empowerment, elderly and people with disabilities. Trained volunteers deliver emotional and positive support to these target groups.
 
The organisation also develop, implement and manage applicable programmes aimed at the spiritual, social and economical needs which include export social services and specialist residential programmes. These programmes will also be used to empower the boards of management enabling them to deliver an efficient relevant and cost effective service to persons and communities in need. The organisation also assist rural people to become self sustainable to alleviate poverty and to establish, support and maintain effective and efficient income generating community based projects and programmes.
Executive Summary
Badisa mainly focus on these problems by empowering underprivileged community and squatter camps in Hopetown, Strydenburg, Orania and surrounding farms in the area. These groups are empowered through life skills trainings and programmes such as child protection, parenthood skill, youth development, right, role and responsibility of women and children. The organisation implemented these programmes through street gatherings. Neighbour helps Neighbour assist in management of children with specific needs.
The organisation also implements the Horizon Project at schools to prevent the misuse of alcohol and drugs by youth. Learners also received life skill sessions such as personality, conflict resolution, communication, decision making, aggressiveness and disadvantages of alcohol and drugs.
 
The organisation also established a service centre for elderly by giving support and meals during presentation of programmes on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Holiday programmes are also made use of for foster children and parents. This programme is to develop the youth in order to make decisions, also to make choices regarding friends and personal development and communication and guidance with bursaries.
 
The HIV/AIDS pandemic claims many victims and the downfall of moral increases. This is why Badisa implemented awareness campaigns in terms of HIV/AIDS and pamphlet distribution of HIV/AIDS, TB and other related issues.
 
The organisation also conducted awareness programmes at schools and in communities regarding education safety measures for children and also children who are being abused. Learners were equipped with knowledge regarding alcohol and drug abuse, crime prevention and to cope with pressure and stress to avoid suicide.
 
Trained volunteers for NW Programme identified couples who can serve as safety parents to temporary take care of children in danger and could be protected.
The organisation also distributes blankets and clothes to disadvantaged people and assist in obtaining birth certificates and identity documents.
