To maintain the life and character of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) and HIV/AIDS individuals; to conglomerate all OVC and HIV/AIDS individuals so as to develop a support base and provide the opportunity for common understanding and sharing of ideas. Also to promote contact, practical co-operation, mutual understanding and unity amongst all OVC and HIV/AIDS individuals; to provide skills and entrepreneurial development for these individuals so that they may generate an income and contribute valuably to society; to conduct workshops that will provide training and education on numerous issues and to eventually open a comprehensive centre which can house both the OVC and the chronic HIV/AIDS patients.

Siyakhula is a non-profit organisation working for the needs of its surrounding community. The organisation operates as a drop-in centre for the Orphans and Vulnerable Children from the community. The organisation also houses children who are in need of a place of safety. In addition, home based care is provided for chronic HIV/AIDS patients.
