To provide South Africa's seriously ill children from disadvantaged backgrounds with a stable home environment that enhances their likelihood of full recovery and improves the chance of fulfilling their dreams.
Executive Summary
For children suffering from the chronic implications associated with renal failure, cancer, diabetes, burns, and/or trauma, life appears to bring one thunderstorm after another. For the unfortunate, whose parents cannot afford constant medical care, supervision and a suitable environment, the likelihood of overcoming chronic illness is minimal at best. For the fortunate who are relegated to a daily routine of dialysis and/or uncertainty surrounding an organ transplant, hope is often a hard thing to master.
It is amidst these storms that Marang House was founded in 1998 as a means for increasing the number of fortunate and offering a ray of hope and sunshine for Gauteng’s seriously ill children. In addition to meeting each child’s unique health and wellness needs, Marang House also helps ensure that each child’s education, as well as their sense of friendship and fun are less impeded by their affliction.
As a registered Section 21 (non-profit) organization, Marang House relies entirely upon external funding to supply these life-sustaining services. As such, fundraising, corporate sponsorships and volunteer efforts are the lifeblood for maintaining the hope and sunshine currently brought forth by the staff and friends of Marang House. In turn, supporting Marang House also provides a tax-deductible means for sponsors to make a significant impact on the lives of South Africa's seriously ill children.

New Vehicle For Marang House
Marang House is the proud new owner of a Kia Pregio Bus. With this new 11-seater vehicle we can safely and comfortably transport the children to and from the hospitals and their school. The children are obviously very excited about this new car and so is everybody who sees the stylish designed vehicle standing in the carport of Marang House.
