We are a faith based family home, with house parents, care workers and many volunteers who come in regularly to help care for, and to love and cuddle our babies. We are not an orphanage, nor an institution - our goal is to help the babies, regardless of their background, religion or cultural persuasions, to pass through quickly, so that they may be placed in their own "forever family" as soon as possible.
Our mission is to simply love and care for all God's children and provide a safe, stable family environment in which they may be nurtured to grow and learn that home is where the heart is.
Executive Summary
Little Angels is involved with various activities, all aimed at making a difference to as many lives as possible in needy communities. Whilst our main focus is to care for children, we also offer support to moms and siblings. Many children are cared for in our family home and we also aid others in their own homes or projects.
In addition to babies who have been abandoned, the majority of whom come in as HIV positives, we also care for many special needs babies and children and these have included challenges such as cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, traceostomy patients, etc. These babies and children are placed with us in order to offer relief to hospitals throughout the Western Cape for those cases where patients are well enough to be discharged, but have no family nor community support to fall back upon.
Fortunately some children can be placed back in their families and the trend, of late, is that we support more and more children in their own communities, rather than in our own home. We empower them to help themselves and we find assistance for them according to their needs. We operate a full time Help Centre in order to assist others.
He arrived as such a tiny little scrap. A featherweight of around 2.5kgs - same as a bag of sugar. Not quite a month old.

Thank you so much for your caring, kindness and support, and your generous donation of adult and childrens clothing, shoes and all the other wonderful goodies, which you gave for the children.
On behalf of Little Angels and all our babies and children, we wish to thank you most sincerely for your assistance. It is heartwarming to know that folk do care, and it is only with such support, that we as Voluntary Houseparents are able to take care of all the babies and children. We care for and support about 30 children (mostly babies), some here and some in network homes. We also support around 200 others in various ways, by way of our outreach programmes. Many are HIV positive, and they go through a huge amount of food, nappies and toiletries. (We also feed and pay salaries to five staff members (as live-ins), an Office Manager, and a Bookkeeper.) Our babies range in age from a few hours old to about a year. (Most are under 4 months old) Our older children are presently between 1 and 12 years. We also support mothers when possible. We run a Help Centre, enabling us to network and share our excess goods, training and services with many other organisations and needy homes.
