Mission Statement
To make a difference in our community in obedience to Christ's command, to feed the hungry, care for the sick and look after the orphans, the elderly and the indigent.
Executive Summary
AMCARE (Alberton Methodist Care & Relief Enterprise) was started in 2002 by the Alberton Methodist Church as a Community Outreach Programme. We feed more than 3 000 people per week and are also responsible for a Victim Empowerment facility, which can house up to 10 abused women and children. We offer Skills Training classes in cooking, baking, sewing and gardening to empower unemployed people.

Pienkie and Stanley run a successful Bric-a-Brac Shop for Amcare.
This once destitute couple were referred to Amcare 2 years ago by their Church to see if Amcare could assist them. We recognised their potential and trained them as care givers in our poverty relief programme where they were put in charge of all goods received as donations.
