Teba
Cause: TEBA Development
Approximate Total Cost: R 3700.00
Province: Gauteng
TEBA has sought to identify development opportunities that rely on existing community initiatives, or that build on the strengths of existing entrepreneurs, as it is through this approach that lasting capacity building can be achieved, especially when limited resources are applied.  There are many ways that you can support our work by building this capacity within communities by supporting the training of rural farmers, providing food gardening and small-scale farming equipment or water sources or funding medical care kits.
Stuff We Need
Fund a medical care kit for a HIV/AIDS Home-based patient - R 500.00
Through Teba Development’s Home-based Care Programme a ‘caregiver’ from the affected household is selected in order to care for the individual and is provided with basic training as well as a medical care kit.  This ensures that the individual can receive continuas basic medical care.
Provide a rural homestead gardener with start-up equipment   - R 200.00
Many people living in rural areas live in utmost poverty without sufficient nutritional food.  The homestead garden project enables these families (usually the women) to grow their own fresh vegetables and in doing so provide for their families.  A contribution towards this project will enable Teba Development to provide a family with seed and some basic equipment in order to start a homestead garden.
Rural water supply for a family - R 1500.00
Many families in rural areas in South Africa have no access to fresh and clean water.  This is extremely dangerous to their health and effects especially the children.  Teba Development can provide a rural family with water supply through various innovative projects.
Support the training of a rural farmer to become self-reliant - R 1500.00
Most people in the rural areas do some farming and have invested in farming equipment and land.  By supporting the training of a rural farmer you will ensure that a farmer is able to use the resources that he already have more effectively and he will also receive mentoring to ensure that he is able to implement what he has learned.
